The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Accountant to manage our financial transactions, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and efficient processing of payments. You’ll be joining a small Finance Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial management. Core responsibilities will include:

Accounts Receivable:

• Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.

• Manage client emails and respond to inquiries within agreed SLA’S.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collections.

• Chase overdue invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.

• Process / apply daily receipts to relevant invoices in Xero.

• Follow up with internal and external stakeholders for missing information e.g. invoice applications

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.

Accounts Payable:

• Process vendor invoices in a timely manner, including account and departmental coding.

• Manage vendor emails and respond to inquiries within 2 days.

• Process bi-weekly payruns and set up bank payments

• Process / apply daily spend to relevant bills in Xero.

• Follow up with internal and external stakeholders for missing information e.g. bank details, invoices

• Review and reconcile vendor statements and accounts as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of all payments and transactions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding vendor payments.

Skills & Requirements

• Experience with both accounts receivable and accounts payable (>2+ years preferred)

• Part qualified preferred

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Dext, Chaser) and MS Excel

• High growth start-up or scale-up experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Stage One: Screening interview with the TA team 👋 (30mins)

Stage Two: Technical Take-Home Challenge, focusing on attention to detail

Stage Three: Interview with our Financial Controller (30mins-1hr)

Stage Four: Final Interview with TJ, Our Head of Finance (30mins)
